The most prominent goals achieved by the Duqm Salt Factory, which benefits the community and the national economy are the exploitation of natural resources, domestic raw resources and value-added through the provision of employment contracts for small and medium-enterprises owned by the people of Al Wusta Governorate, such as shipping and handling companies, water and hospitality companies, car and equipment rental companies. The Duqm Salt Factory has provided a number of job opportunities for the people of the governorate in a number of specialties, as the percentage of Omanisation is high in various professions, and also most of the leadership positions in the factory are occupied by qualified Omani cadres from the people of Al Wusta Governorate.

The factory played a great role in serving the local community, especially in the villages surrounding the factory, such as delivering water to some remote homes, distributing a number of food parcels to some families surrounding the factory during the month of Ramadan and Eid.

Duqm salt is a distinctive brand of Omani industrial product. We are looking forward to exporting the product to various countries, as it is near to the commercial port of Duqm. In order to achieve leadership for this product, we need to gain support and trust of major governmental companies in the Sultanate so as to be the preferred product instead of imported salt.
